A fun weekend!

We went to Mesa for the weekend to go watch Terra (Kyler's sister) in special olympics and to pick up some couches that we got off of craigslist for our new house. Terra did shot put, 200 meter dash, and long jump. She did extremely well and won some medals so we were all so proud of her! It was a lot of fun to watch her and be her #1 fans! We also got to spend time with Kyler's side of the family. It's always fun to visit and spend time together. On our way home from Mesa we stopped at a farmers market that has really extremely cheap fresh fruits and veggies. They were having strawberries 3 for $1 which is such a great price so we bought 12 of them. We also bought some avacodos, beets, mangos, kiwis, pineapple, and bannanas all for under 15 bucks! If you haven't gone there before you really need to check it out! When we got home my mother-in-law, Kyler and I made strawberry jam, in the jar and frozen. We also bagged alot of strawberries to freeze for smoothies and milkshakes. It was my first time making jam so it was alot of fun to learn and it sure tastes good. Here is Kyler and my portion of the finished project...

Good Job Kara. I want to go to that farmers market. I've never been there. Is it in Mesa?
